So today I got tagged by fellow author Rebecca Hart. This one looked silly and fun, so I figured why not?
The rules for this one are quite simple:
- Go to page 77 of your current ms.
- Go to line 7.
- Copy down the next 7 lines/sentences, and post them as they’re written. No cheating.
- Tag 7 other victims, …er, authors.
I have three current WIP’s, but I picked the Urban Fantasy one which is releasing later this summer, The Daemon Whisperer, the first book in my Liminals Series. This is a conversation between Meriwether (Meri) Storm (the Daemon Summoner for hire) and Azimuth (a daemon whose boss contracted her services). And well, I didn’t get to pick the context, so good luck on this one! 😉
“How do you do that? The healing and calming?”
“It’s something I picked up from a greater incubus actually, I forget how long ago. He used it to calm his prey while he fed off of them. I like to think I put it to a better purpose,” he replied.
Stone by stone, he was slowly proving to not be the bastard she’d initially pegged him as, Meri thought. And with that reflection, her temperature raised another few degrees.
Azimuth instinctively stepped away and gave her space, weighing her with his eyes.
So you get a little insight into his abilities, and she’s got something odd going on there too. Hmm.
And now, I get to tag my victims to complete the chain of chain that’ll never end, or something? Well here you go!
Kiersten Fay – I want Kayadon! Pretty please. 😉
Jen Kirchner – I want Dancing Scissors! I know you’re holding out! 😛
Alan Edwards – I want Offal! Aka Waiting on the Dead! Pleasssssse!
Jeff Kupperman– Some Machiavel, please Sir? Or you know…whatever amuses.
Teresa D’Amario – You sharing any Lone Wolf snippets? Hmm? 🙂
Keri Lake – Any new Halos to share? Eh?
Amber Kallyn – Something from one of your new shifter tales? Tails? Hah!
Btw the poking and prodding isn’t part of the Lucky Seven. That’s just all me. *jazz hands*
Oh boy. Heh. You asked for it =P
Yay! Offal! WOOHOOO! 🙂
I think you mean talking knives. I can do dancing scissors too, if you’d like. LOL
Ok, so I have the memory of a fucking sponge. This is why I write everything DOWN. Anyway, yeah, that thing you’ve talked about again and again and I can’t keep in my damn head. Yeah that. 😀
HA HA. Ok, I’ll see what I can do. After all, Lone Wolf has some really INTERESTING scenes in it!
Excellent! How fun is this!
Enjoyed your “seven.” Amazed to see how many authors are involved with the Lucky 7. I’d been tagged, too.
I know! The week after this I was tagged by two others authors. Hah! Glad you liked it! 🙂
