Six Sentence Sunday: An Excerpt from The Daemon Whisperer – 3/11/12

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! Feel free to comment and ask questions!

Here’s this week’s snippet from The Daemon Whisperer, my Urban Fantasy WIP from my Liminals series. Meri (Meriwether) Storm is talking with the daemon Azimuth about a potential job offer. Enjoy!

“I’ve bound every daemon I’ve faced. More than I’ve bothered to count. Which would be why your boss wants to hire me, yes?” she asked.

Azimuth’s lip curled in a mocking smile. “You don’t even know how many of us you’ve bound over the years?”

“I do, but I’m not a fool enough to divulge such information to a daemon.”

Now head on over to Six Sunday and check out the other participating authors! Cheers! 🙂

  1. She’s clever not to divulge anything to a demon that he might find useful to get what he wants from her. Which could be anything! Great six, Candice!

  2. I’m with Jessica–the tension between them is palpable. I love the tug-of-war of power going on here.

  3. I truly enjoy looking at on this internet site, it has got good blog posts. “And all the winds go sighing, For sweet things dying.” by Christina Georgina Rossetti.
