Six Sentence Sunday: An Excerpt from The Daemon Whisperer – 4/1/12

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday!

Here’s this week’s snippet from The Daemon Whisperer, my Urban Fantasy WIP from my Liminals series. Don’t forget you can see the new cover art and read the first segment from Chapter 1 here! Also, if you use Goodreads please consider adding this to your to-read list so you can know first when it releases this summer. Thanks!

Anyway, back to Six Sunday! In this six Meri (Meriwether) Storm is talking with the daemon Azimuth’s cabal in detail about their job offer. She’s just heard them out, and she’s considering what to do  Enjoy!

Meri felt the pit of her stomach drop as the implications sunk in, and she had to shut her mouth to keep herself from gaping.

“You know Belial, this one’s not as bright as her experience led me to assume she’d be,” Kobol said.

“Thus why I am cautious to entrust her with an ancient and deadly weapon such as this. If it were to fall into the wrong hands. . .” Belial replied.

Meri’s anger rose. This was the closest she’d come to her parent’s killer, and she wasn’t about to let her inexperience hold her back.

Hmm, she doesn’t sound enthusiastic about the job, but will she take it to get information on her parent’s killer? Just how determined is she?

Please head on over to Six Sunday and check out the other participating authors. Cheers! 🙂

  1. I love how they are talking about her as if she isn’t there. And, that comment by Kobol seems a bit manipulative, trying to get her to take the job by making her angry thereby forgetting about the consequences. I’m curious to see what happens next! 🙂
