Six Sentence Sunday: An Excerpt from The Daemon Whisperer – 4/8/12

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday!

Here’s this week’s snippet from The Daemon Whisperer, my Urban Fantasy WIPย from my Liminals series. If you use Goodreads please consider adding this to your to-read list so you can be the first to know when it releases this summer. Thanks!

In this six Meri (Meriwether) Storm has completed the job for Azimuth’s cabal and it’s left her with some unexpected side effects. Enjoy!

A wave of heat and anxiety rolled off of her, blowing Azimuthโ€™s hair back and rolling knocked over candles around on the floor. “What the hell was that, Azimuth? Did I do that? No, wait–how did I do that?”

“Like I said, we should be going,” Azimuth replied, his stormy expression bordering on anger.

“I donโ€™t feel like going to Sheol right now, Az, Iโ€™m going home.”

What do you think? Will the price for Meri’s vengeance be worth it?

Please head on over to Six Sunday and check out the other participating authors. Cheers! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Oooh interesting! The plot thickens as this hints that she has some kind of power she isn’t aware of, but that Az wants to keep her ignorant of. And he’s in quite a hurry to get her to Sheol! Loved the description of how it rolled off her, very visual… This definitely promises more conflict…

    1. Yes, you have to wonder what she’s got going on there, and you have to wonder when and if Az is going to clue her in! Thanks Angela! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love your description in that first line. I can feel and see it. Very intriguing… sounds like there are some interesting times ahead for Meri, and perhaps for Azimuth too.
