Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday!
Hello everyone! Here is another snippet from The Daemon Whisperer, book one in my Urban Fantasy series titled The Liminals. If you use Goodreads please consider adding this to your to-read list so you’ll be among the first to know when it releases. Thanks a bundle!
This six continues from last week’s, where Meri (Meriwether) Storm has taken a turn down a dark alley and ran into some unsavory characters and then handled their ringleader. I have to say I’ve skipped a spoiler and jumped ahead a tad. Enjoy!
A moment later a hand was on her shoulder and pleasure swept through her body. Everything calmed, and the warring internal factions called a truce. Meri opened her eyes and realized she’d balled up on the ground in the alley with Azimuth crouched over her protectively, calming her with his touch. Meri frowned. Damn him and the power he held over her.
“I heard your call, and I see you’ve gotten yourself into a bit of trouble ,” Azimuth said.
Hmm, what trouble? Oh yeah, that was the spoiler! And yet, Azimuth rushes in to save her afterwards. I’m sure his motivations are entirely altruistic!
Please head on over to Six Sunday and check out the other participating authors. Cheers!
Ha! He seems a little too pleased. Nice six, Candice!
Azimuth doesn’t suffer from a lack of confidence. π Thanks Ryan!
Is it a good thing he has so much power over her? Nice six! π
Great question, Jessica! Thanks! π
Maybe this power is a good thing?
Maybe, maybe not. π Thanks Lisa!
Heh heh heh. Nice. I like the interaction.
Thanks Steven! π
I’m happy we see Azimuth again. I love that he’s being protective. And that he’s come to help her. And that she responds to his touch. And she’s irritated with her own reaction. And… I guess I’m saying that I really liked your six. π
Thanks Lorraine! Glad you liked…so many aspects! π
Ooh. I like his confident response. So sexy.
Thanks Cara! π
Ooh, he sounds like a delicious hero. Protective even when she doesn’t want or think she needs him *grins*
